India Symposium 2025

The 8th Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Finance (JAAF) – Accounting Theory and Practice (ATP) India symposium will be held at the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIM Udaipur), Udaipur, Rajasthan, India, on January 11 – 12, 2025. The JM Financial Centre for Financial Research at IIM Udaipur is organising the Symposium jointly with the Indian School of Business (ISB), IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta.

IIM Udaipur (IIMU), a second-generation IIM, is one of the fastest-growing management schools in the country. IIMU was set up by the Indian Government in 2011. Taking the legacy of older IIMs forward, IIMU aspires to set new benchmarks in management education by combining excellence in teaching and research.

IIM Udaipur is well on its way to becoming a globally recognized B-School. It has broken new ground by focusing on world-class research and transforming students into tomorrow’s managers and leaders. The Institute arrived on the global education stage by securing accreditation from the AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) in just eight years of its establishment.

IIM Udaipur is ranked 16th by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2023 of the HRD Ministry. IIMU is the only IIM in the Top 100 of the prestigious FT Masters in Management World Rankings consecutively for 5 Years since 2019. IIMU is ranked #5 amongst IIMs for the year 2023. IIMU featured in the prestigious Masters in Management (MIM) QS World University Rankings 2024 for the fifth consecutive year. IIMU is also currently ranked 4th in India, after ISB, IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Bangalore, for research in management according to the methodology used by UT Dallas, which tracks publications in the leading global journals.

The JM Financial Centre for Financial Research is a research centre at the Indian Institute of Management Udaipur that aims to conduct cutting-edge research in broad areas of finance, accounting, and related disciplines, with a strong industry and regulatory connect. The Centre not only aims to advance research in traditional topics, such as financial markets, corporate finance, and accounting quality, but also seeks to promote research on topical issues, including environmental, social, and governance (ESG) investing, climate finance, sustainability, Fintech, and inclusive growth. In doing so, the Centre aims to engage regularly with both industry and regulatory bodies to provide solutions to real-world problems.
